The production

Our pigs are raised free range on Australian native pastures: free to roam, dig wallows, make nests and play in the sun and rain, just as their ancestors did. All have huts to retreat to when the weather is miserable. The pigs do a fine job of fertilising and turning the soil, and in return we treat our pigs with a great deal of love and respect – true VIP’s!

 

Our pigs

The pigs we have living on the farm with us are purebred English Large Black and Wessex Saddlebacks. These heritage breed pigs are a lot slower growing than your average supermarket pork.

It is the fat marbled through the meat of the heritage pig that gives the pork its flavour and moisture. 

Much of the chain store pork is grown indoors; moisture infused 
and are fed antibiotics. Support local, small Australian farms like ours and taste the difference today.
